About All Ways Ed
Q: What is All Ways Ed?
A: All Ways Ed is a full and FREE K–12 homeschool curriculum built on the belief that every child learns differently. Each lesson includes four paths - Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic (VARK) so parents can teach in the way their child learns best.

Q: Is All Ways Ed a religious curriculum?
A: No. All Ways Ed is a secular curriculum. We focus on providing a strong academic foundation across subjects like math, reading, science, and history. Families are welcome to add their own spiritual or faith-based studies alongside our program if they wish, but our lessons themselves are designed to be neutral and accessible to all families. We offer Bible and faith curriculum resources within our Resources tab.
Q: How is your curriculum inclusive?
A: We believe learning should reflect the diversity of families and the world around us. Our curriculum includes inclusive perspectives across subjects and provides options that respect different lifestyles. For example, when lessons involve food or recipes, we offer vegan-friendly choices. Social topics are presented with kindness and respect, encouraging students to think critically while also learning empathy. Families can adapt lessons to fit their own values and needs, knowing the core material remains high-quality and accessible to all.
Q: Do you include Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in your lessons?
A: Yes. Alongside academics, we weave in age-appropriate SEL activities that help children build skills like self-awareness, empathy, problem-solving, and resilience. These are not heavy or abstract add-ons. They’re practical moments for kids to reflect, connect, and practice kindness. SEL is part of helping the whole child grow, not just the academic side.
Mini-Lessons
Q: What are Mini-Lessons?
A: Mini-Lessons are small, themed units you can use right away. Perfect for trying out our program or adding variety to your current homeschool. Topics include biographies, science explorations, and history snapshots.
Q: Are Mini-Lessons free?
A: Some Mini-Lessons will be free downloads, and others will be low-cost packs. All are designed to show you how simple and engaging our approach is.
Learning Styles
Q: How do I know my child’s learning style?
A: Each of our four learning paths is explained in detail on our site. Many kids show a mix, and that’s okay! With All Ways Ed, you can try them all and see which works best.
Q: Can I just use one path?
A: Yes! You can focus on one, or mix all four. We give you color-coded activities so you can choose what works best for your child.
Access to Materials
Q: How will I access the lessons?
A: Lessons are organized by grade, and each day’s flow is already set up for you. Simply go to your child’s grade level on our website and choose either the Parent Page or the Student Page.
On the Parent Page, you’ll see a daily list of supplies, the full lesson flow, and teaching prompts to help guide your child through the day. You can even open the Parent Page on a separate device to make it easier to follow along while your child works.
On the Student Page, students will find their lessons laid out in daily order, with activities, videos, and assignments in the sequence they’re meant to be completed. Downloadable worksheets are linked on both the Parent and Student pages for easy access and printing.
Q: Do I need to print off everything?
A: No. While many families like keeping binders or portfolios, you don’t have to print every lesson. Core activities, videos, and interactive pieces are meant to be used online. We do provide downloadable worksheets and resources so you can choose what to print—whether it’s for practice, review, or record-keeping.
Q: Do I need internet access every day?
A: Yes. At this stage, our curriculum is fully digital. Many of the activities, videos, and lesson materials are only available online, so you’ll need a reliable internet connection each day. However, we are also building in downloadable worksheets and resources you can save to your device, making it easier to print and use offline when needed.
Parent Support
Q: Will there be a support group for parents?
A: Yes! We’re starting a social media–based homeschool parent community where you can connect, share, and learn with others. Be sure to also check out our Resources section for more general homeschool connection spaces.
Q: Do you offer help with homeschooling laws or reporting?
A: We’ll provide general guidance and portfolio tools, but for specific state requirements you’ll need to check your local homeschool laws (see the HSLDA State Laws Map).
Q: What do I need to do to homeschool in my state?
A: Every U.S. state has its own homeschool laws and requirements. Some may ask you to file a notice of intent, keep a portfolio, or do yearly assessments, while others have fewer regulations. Check the HSLDA State Laws Map to see what your state requires.
Q: Where can I find extra tips, examples, and support as a homeschooling parent?
A: You can always turn to our Blog! It’s where we share practical strategies, lesson extensions, family activity ideas, and encouragement. Think of it as your ongoing support guide to homeschooling with All Ways Ed.
Q: Do I need a teaching degree to use your curriculum?
A: Not at all! Our lessons are written to be open-and-go, with clear parent prep guides, materials lists, and daily flows.
Cost & Supplies
Q: Will I need to buy expensive books or supplies?
A: No. At All Ways Ed, we intentionally design lessons around open-source materials and low-cost resources. Many books and references are freely available online or can be found at your local library. If something special is needed, we’ll let you know in advance so you have plenty of time to borrow, print, or gather it. Most supplies are everyday household items like paper, scissors, crayons, and rulers.
Q: Will I need lots of supplies?
A: Not at all. Most lessons use online activities, videos, and worksheets that don’t require extra materials. Some projects do call for common household items—things like paper towels, measuring cups, or cardboard you likely already have on hand. Worksheets may also need simple school supplies such as pencils, crayons, or scissors.
Q: How much does the curriculum cost?
A: Our core curriculum is always FREE to access online. We believe every family should have access to quality education without breaking the bank. To support the site, we will display ads and recommend helpful resources (some free, some paid). These ads will not be displayed on the students daily curriculum page. For families who want extras—such as printable books, test results, or progress tracking—we’ll eventually offer affordable premium/freemium options. That way you can choose what works best for your homeschool.
Q: Do you offer refunds on paid products?
A: Because our products are digital and provide instant access, we do not offer refunds. To help you feel confident before purchasing, we provide some FREE mini-lessons so you can experience our approach firsthand. If you encounter any issues accessing your purchase, please CONTACT us, and we’ll work with you to resolve the problem quickly.
Curriculum
Q: When will the curriculum be available?
A: Our curriculum is currently being developed and tested. We aim to have Grades K–4 ready for the 2026 school year, with grades 5-8 completed by June of 2027. As lessons are finalized, we’ll roll them out gradually. We’ll share updates along the way, so families always know what’s available.
Q: How does the online curriculum work?
A: All Ways Ed is a completely online homeschool curriculum. Families can access lessons directly from our website. There are no special software or downloads required. Each grade is organized by day, and every lesson is designed to support different learning styles (Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing, and Kinesthetic). You’ll also find links to helpful resources, optional worksheets you can download, and activities you can adapt at home. Because everything is online, updates and new lessons are added regularly, so your curriculum stays fresh and complete without you needing to buy new editions.
Q: What subjects are included?
A: Each grade includes Math, Reading, Language Arts, Science, History, Physical Education, and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL). With extras like journaling, hands-on projects, and family connection activities. Middle school will add electives, and high school will feature a special program to meet older learners’ needs
Q: What teaching method does All Ways Ed use?
A: Instead of following just one traditional homeschool method, we’ve developed a multi-style, layered approach:
-
Structured lessons for clarity and flow.
-
Hands-on projects influenced by unit study and Montessori methods.
-
Teach-back reflection inspired by Charlotte Mason’s narration.
-
Grades K–2: Daily micro teach-backs (1–2 sentences, a drawing, or a quick demonstration).
-
Grades 3–4: Friday mini-presentation on one subject.
-
Grades 5+: Weekly “teach a lesson” project, including planning, preparing, and presenting.
-
-
Four learning styles (our unique system).
This layered approach is what makes us different, by giving every child a way into the lesson.
Q: How long does each day of lessons take?
A: On average, daily lessons take 2–4 hours for elementary grades. Families can move at their own pace and adjust based on their child’s needs.
Q: Will you have a high school curriculum?
A: Yes, but it will look a little different than traditional high school. We’re planning something special: a program that blends core academics with hands-on pathways into real careers. Instead of only following the typical high school model, students will be able to choose from focused trade tracks and begin building skills for dual enrollment into trade schools or career programs.
We plan to start with four core trade pathways (such as healthcare, technology, skilled trades, and creative industries) and expand as we grow. This approach gives students the chance to graduate not only with knowledge, but also with a practical head start on their future.
Q: Will this meet state requirements?
A: Yes. Our curriculum is designed to align with recognized educational standards. Including Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English and Math, Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), and the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS). These standards provide the framework that most states use to define what students should learn each year.
Because every state has its own homeschool regulations, we encourage families to check their local requirements. All Ways Ed lessons are built to cover the core expectations while also offering flexibility and enrichment, so families can easily adapt to their state’s rules.
